Westminster Comforters is a small but dedicated group of women who meet at the church to make quilts that are then donated or auctioned for charity.

The Comforters' quilts have been given to babies baptized at Westminster, to children at the Valerie Center in Overlook Hospital, the pediatric/psychiatric unit of Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth, NJ, the Mountainside Children's Hospital, and to battered and abused women throughout the area.

The Comforters were honored in 2010 with a Unity Award for Achievement by a Faith-Based Organization given by the Union County Human Relations Commission. Along with a beautiful award, the group was presented with a Legislative Resolution from the Senate and General Assembly of the State of NJ, along with a Resolution from the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders.

The Westminster Comforters continues to learn new quilting techniques and enjoy the fellowship of one another, just like an old-fashioned quilting bee. The group meets on the first Thursday of each month at 9:30 A.M. and is open to all members, nursery school parents and friends.
