How does a church's mission serve the Lord?

Each of our lives, as individuals and as members of Westminster, is connected to Christ, the 'living vine' [John 15:5] who connects us to the Living God.

Even the most mundane day provides us with experiences that show us that God is working in our lives. If we are truly alive we are growing, and we need to grow in Christ together. Everyone in our church is at a different place in his or her faith journey, but we will grow together in Christ if we serve Him.

We serve the Lord by being faithful to the commitments we have made as Jesus' disciples, as members of His church, with tasks that are all needed for this Westminster body of Christ to grow. We want to grow in spiritual maturity, in knowledge, and in wisdom as well as in numbers. This is the mission of the church. If we are faithful, God will be faithful to us ["…It is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful." 1 Corinthians 4:2].

Where do mission funds come from?

Funds come from a variety of sources: operating budget, individual designated gifts and fundraisers, special offerings, and continuing mission support provided by the youth and deacons.
